Belize has a subtropical climate with high annual temperatures and humidity. There is also a refreshing, cool, continuous breeze flowing over from the Caribbean Sea.
There are two distinct seasons: the rainy and the dry. The rainy season lasts from June to November with the south receiving more than twice as much rainfall as the north. The dry season is from December to May. May is also the warmest month and January is the coldest. The coast and regions located on higher elevations are normally cooler than the inland parts.
The hurricane season is from June to the end of November.
