Costa Rica Visa Requirements

All visitors to Costa Rica must have a valid passport with at least one blank visa page. The passport has to be valid for at least 30 days from the date of entry. For passport holders from some countries this requirement is 180 days.

Visitors are also required to have a return ticket.

For stays of up to 90 days, visas are not required for citizens of the following countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Chile, Cyprus , Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, San Marino, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad And Tobago, UK, the USA, Uruguay, Vatican City.

For stays of up to 30 days, visas are not required for passport holders from the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Bolivia, Dominica, El Salvador, Philippines, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Northern Marianas, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Maldives, Mauritius, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Russia, Samoa, Saint Kitts And Nevis, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Sao Tome And Principe, Seychelles, Suriname, Tonga, Tuvalu, Turkey, Vanuatu and Venezuela.
