Croatia experiences a mixture of continental and Mediterranean climates. The Mediterranean climate dominates the coastal regions, bringing warm, dry summers and mild, humid winters. The coldest month is January (6-11°C / 43-52°F) and the warmest is August (21-27°C / 70-81°F).

The climate in the interior of the country becomes more and more continental, with cooler summers and snowy winters. Average temperatures range from 0-2°C / 32-36°F in January to 19-23°C / 66-73°C in August.

Croatia has an average of 4.9 hours of sunlight per day ranging from 1.3 average in December to 8.7 sunlight hours per day in July.
