Climate & Weather in Cuba

Flag of Cuba

Cuba enjoys mild, subtropical climate with hot and sunny weather all year round. The climate is also influenced by constant refreshing breeze of trade winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean. There are two distinctive seasons - dry season from November to April and the hot, rainy season from May to October. The east part of Cuba is generally warmer than the west. The temperature differences between day and night are lower in coastal areas than in inland regions. The northern coastline receives on average three times more rainfall than the southern areas - about 300cm / 118".

Cuba lies inside the hurricane belt and it's prone to violent storms during the hurricane season (June to November), especially between August and October.

The best months to visit Cuba are April and May, when the island enjoys the most sunny days, low rainfall, low humidity. This is also the low tourist season and there is no danger of hurricanes.
