The main foreign tourist seasons are December to February and July to August and Semana Santa (the week before Easter). Expect higher prices and more crowded beaches at these times – Semana Santa. February is a good time to come - it offers great weather possibility of enjoying whale-watching in Samaná as well as Carnaval. Another good time to come is November, usually the end of a hurricane season.
