Climate & Weather in Egypt

The weather in most parts of Egypt is hot and dry with the only exception being winter months (December to February) in the north. Very hot summers are almost unbearable when going south of Cairo. The summer months - June to August - are the low tourist season, particularly around Luxor and Aswan, but they are the vacation months for locals and visitors from the Gulf who spend that time on the coast in northern parts of Egypt. The best time to visit Egypt is generally winter, although the north can be a little cold with many overcast days.
