France Visa Requirements

Passport valid for at least three months beyond length of stay is required by all visitors with the exception of citizens of EU countries who need a valid national ID card. Visitors from outside the EU must be able to justify their reason for entering France, and, if required, show sufficient funds for a return journey.

For stays up to 90 days visa is not required for citizens of the following countries:
Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bermuda, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Holy See, Hong Kong (region of China), Honduras, Israel, Japan, Macao (region of China), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and countries belonging to Shengen area (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland).

EU citizens can stay in France without visa for an unlimited period.

Visas must be applied for before leaving for France at a French consular office.
