Climate & Weather in Iceland |
 |
| |
Iceland's weather is generally cool, but due to the worm north Atlantic current (Gulf Stream), the temperatures in Iceland are higher than in most places of similar latitude in the world.
The south coast is usually warmer, wetter and windier than the north, also with less snowfall in winter.
Due to the latitude Iceland experiences days with no sunlight in winter and days with no darkness during summer months (June and July).
The best time to visit is from mid-June to mid-September, when days average in the 50s F/10-15 C, and nights are in the 40s F/5-9 C.
