Passport Requirements
All visitors to Macau are required to hold a valid passport with the exception of China nationals and holders of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card.
Visa Requirements
Nationals of mainland China need valid Macau entry permits. Holders of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or Hong Kong Identity Card don't need a visa to enter Macau.
Holder of the United Kingdom passport can stay in Macau for up to 6 months without a visa.
Nationals of the following countries do not require a tourist visa for stays of up to 90 days in Macau:
Nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Croatia, Czech, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Tanzania.
Visa free visits of up to 30 days are granted for citizens of the following countries:
Australia, Canada, Chile, India, Indonesia, Kiribati, Malaysia, Monaco, Namibia, New Zealand, Philippines, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, the United States and Uruguay.
Nationals of countries not listed above are advised to contact nearest China consulate for information. For nationals of some countries tourist visas may be obtained upon arrival, otherwise they need to be applied for before the travel through embassies or consulates of China.
