Paraguay Visa Requirements

Passport Requirements

All visitors to Paraguay are required to have a passport, valid for at least six months, with the exception of nationals of the following countries, who only need their national ID to enter Paraguay: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay.

Visa Requirements

Nationals of the following countries are exempted from visa requirements if traveling on turism purposes for a maximum stay of 90 days:
Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, El Salvador, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Japan, South Korea (maximum stay is 30 days), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Venezuela.

The length of stay in Paraguay can be extended at the discretion of the National Immigration Office, but cannot exceed 180 days in any twelve-month period.

Citizens of countries not listed above need to contact a Paraguay Embassy or Consulate to apply for a visa.
