Climate & Weather in Suriname

Flag of Suriname

Suriname's climate is tropical and humid, moderated by northeast trade winds. Temperatures are high and do not vary much throughout the year. There are two dry seasons: from August to October and February to April. May to July and from November to January are the rainy seasons. The two dry seasons are the best time to visit the country.

Suriname lies outside of the Caribbean Hurricane belt and is not affected by such extreme weather conditions.
