Passport Requirements
All travelers must have a passport valid for at least six months
from the day of entry.
Visa Requirements
For the following nationals visas are not required for stays of up to 30 days, provided that the traveler has a confirmed return air ticket or documentation for onward travel with seat reservation and has no criminal record:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia , Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States and Vatican.
In addition to the above list citizens of Ireland, New Zealand and United Kingdom are allowed to stay 90 days without a visa (under the same conditions).
For citizens of Japan entering Taiwan under visa-free program, the requirement of passport validity is 3 months.
