Tanzania Visa Requirements

All visitors to Tanzania require a passport valid for at least six months.

For most countries a visa is required to enter Tanzania. Citizens of the following countries don't require visa: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Ashmore & Cartier Island, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Virgin Island, Brunei, Cameroon, Cayman Island, Channel Island, Christmas Island, Cook Island, Cyprus, Dominica, The Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malaysia, Malawi, Malta, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe Island, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Island, Swaziland, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Western Samoa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

A one-year multiple-entry visa is required for citizens of Pakistan and the United States of America. For other visa applicants, one can apply for either a single-entry visa, or a multiple-entry visa. Visitors from countries where Tanzania has a diplomatic or consular representation are should obtain a visa from Tanzanian consulate or embassy before departure. All other visitors may obtain a visa at any of the following entry points: Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro and Mwanza airports, or border crossings at Holili, Horohoro, Kabanga, Kigoma, Masuguru, Msimbati, Mutukula/Kyaka, Namanga, Rusumo, Sirari, or Tunduma.
