Turks and Caicos enjoy a pleasant sub-tropical climate tempered by constant easterly trade winds. The weather is characterized by high temperatures, low humidity and relatively low precipitation. The temperatures vary from 25°C / 77°F in winter to 32°C / 90°F in summer. The hottest months are August to November. Summer months are also the wettest, but the annual precipitation is only 53 cm / 21". Average humidity is 35%.
Although Turks and Caicos lie within the Caribbean hurricane belt, hurricanes rarely hit the islands directly; tropical storms and flooding can occur. The season for hurricanes is between June and November.
The islands are good to visit all year round but December to April is the tourist peak season with coolest and driest weather conditions.
