Passport requirements

Passport valid for at least 90 days beyond return date is required. Passports should also have enough blank pages to allow for necessary stamps (at least two pages).

Visa requirements

For stays up to 90 days on tourism purposes, visas are not required for the nationals of the European Union, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canada, Georgia, Iceland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, South Korea, Switzerland, Tajikistan, United States, Uzbekistan and Vatican City.

However, visas are still required for those who want to stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days in any 180-day period.

Visitors requiring visas should apply before travelling at Ukrainian embassy or consulate in their own country (see the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine at www.mfa.gov.ua for a list of embassies and consulates of Ukraine). Applications for tourist visas have to be normally accompanied by a letter of confirmation from a hotel or tour company or a letter of invitation. Usual wait time required is 10 days.
