Climate & Weather in Virgin Islands, U.S.

Flag of Virgin Islands, U.S.

Virgin Islands enjoy a subtropical, maritime climate, tempered by trade winds. Temperatures vary only slightly throughout the year, with daytime averages during summer in the range of 26°C / 80°F to 31°C / 87°F, and in winter from 22°C / 72°F to 28°C / 82°F. At night temperatures fall a few degrees. The precipitation is generally low, but rains are more frequent in summer months from May to August. Summer also brings more humidity.

Virgin islands are good to visit year round, but some tourists may want to avoid the hurricane season from June to November; hurricanes haven't been seriously affecting the Virgin Islands in recent years though.
